During the course of the last session of the Expert Forum on Food Security, the FRM took the floor to promote to a wide audience of ambassadors, experts, officials from FAO and IFAD, NGOs, representatives Universities, etc.. Campaign for the AIAF.
FRM’s speech emphasized the desirability of giving all the debates and proposals related to Hunger and Malnutrition in the world, more than 1020 million people, perspective and relevance required by such dramatic issues, through the conclusion of an International Year of the Family Agriculture, which supports women and men in the field, players in a model of sustainable food production and agro-ecological, in pursuit of food security and sovereignty.
During the 12th and 13th October, the FRM, in addition to participating in sessions of the Forum of Experts, held several meetings with officials of FAO, IFAD and NGOs, in order to strengthen and expand the broad representation of the AIAF the campaign, supported by more than 150 organizations.
