During the participation of the World Rural Forum in the recent Committee on Food Security-CFS, FAO (Rome, October 15th-19th, 2012), OXFAM International and the WRF held a meeting concerning the IYFF 2014.
Constantino Casasbuenas, OXFAM Policy Adviser-Economic Justice -accompanied by Muriel Saragoussi, Advocacy Campaign Coordinator- confirmed OXFAM’s decision to actively participate in the process of preparation and implementation of the International Year of Family Farming-IYFF 2014.
From now onwards OXFAM is a member of the IYFF 2014′ World Consultative Committee.
In another meeting held the same day with IFOAM (International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements), André Leu, president of IFOAM, ratified the total commitment of his organization with the IYFF 2014, appointing Cristina Grandi, International Representative, as IFOAM delegate to the IYFF 2014′ World Consultative Committee.
